Brads technician came out to assess the problem with my 42 year old AC unit and explained exactly what the problem was, and that it was beyond repair. Brad went thru options for a new ac unit and the benefits of also replacing a 33 year old furnace. Decided to replace both the heat and ac. When the furnace was removed, the top of the heat exchanger was rusty and had cracks close to the edge of most of the seams. Originally i was only wanting to replace the ac, but after Brad explaining the cost savings not just in instillation, but also going from a 80% efficient furnace to a 97% efficient furnace. I appreciate his experience and honesty. He told me that if i only went with the ac unit, when he took the old ac coil off the furnace if he found cracks in the heat exchanger of the furnace he would have to stop instillation. Like a mandated reporter, if it is unsafe he cant over look it. His finished work looks square, symmetrical and professionally installed. Brad explained both sides of the fence, if i would have chose to replace only the ac unit and not the furnace, it WOULD HAVE cost me more TIME and MONEY to, then order a new furnace. Another company may have overlooked the cracks in the heat exchanger and just installed the new ac. Knowing what i saw first hand, because Brad made it a point to show me, the old furnace, it may have lasted another year, doubtful. An average person can look at something and tell it's not right, it wasn't. Brad simply stated that the average furnace lasts 20 years, mine was at 33. I almost cant wait to see what my electric bill will be. Thanks for the good advice !

Country Comfort Solutions did everything they could to repair the old unit( about 40+ years old) but was time for a new more efficient unit.
