The guys were hardworking and dedicated employees. You have a great crew. Only minor issues to mention. Wall controller was initially mounted crooked and later they fixed that. The walls were dirty afterwards due to dirty hands. But that's really no biggie considering they are doing some work here that gets their hands dirty. Understanding how to use the controller was a challenge for a bit. On the positive side ... This heating system is definitely more efficient, quieter, and better operating that the old one from 25 years ago. The additional Air conditioning system worked fantastically for the few days we used it in September. And the instant Gas powered water heater operates a lot better than the one purchased 25 year ago. Great team of guys and so far we are very happy with the install and the actual operational hardware.

The installation was good and the folks seemed knowledgeable. Super efficient and worked till late to get it done in a single day. However had two concerns \- 1. When I booked, they told me they were scheduling for end of July but when scheduling team called me a couple of days later, they told me the earliest was mid August. Seemed misleading 2. Bryant 800S 80% Single Stage Furnace installed 5/2024

Only 2 small issue noted. Ist was there was an electrical wire that was cut too short, so electrician came back later to wire it. 2nd. After furnace installed, the duct cleaning was performed and was told there would be a small hole cut into furnace trim. I am a bit OCD and wish they would have cleaned the ducts first. I did not go with an upgraded furnace for about $1,500. Am glad I did not as this furnace performs well and is so quiet.

The installation professional spent the time necessary to install my furnace and update all the ductwork in a very professional and solid manner. However, I found out after the fact that the new furnace cannot blow cool air to provide circulation throughout the house during the summer. For the era when our house was built the ducts were not designed for cooling, which operates at a higher duct static pressure so we wanted to make sure we got a system that worked for our situation. We also wanted a quiet outdoor unit, as many of or neighbor units are noisy. Each company had a slightly different approach to the best fit and in the end we got a system installation that we are quiet pleased with. WES is a large company and I was concerned about getting lost in the system, so I was very pleased about the phone call notifications before the techs arrived, coordination between departments and timely of completing the job. The "Attributes" rating wasn't working, otherwise I'd have given them top ratings on everything. Wa. Energy is my first thought for anything they do. First, they have enough work to keep a staff fully employed year round. Some of their people have been there since inception of business. They won't be stopping at a big box store for day laborers to do your job. Second, they are big enough to have an inventory on hand... nobody will call and say "uhm, we can't get the unit we sold you on, so we are switching it out for another." Third, they seem quick to adopt new methods or technologies to bring to customers. And, they are conversant on the benefits of doing so. Fourth, I think these guys have done everything under the sun. If your crew is stumped about something... the whole company is their data base for answers. Fifth, they stand behind their work. Our installation of a heat pump resulted in a pin hole leak of a hot water supply line. Wet wall board. They fixed it... and we got an acceptable discount on a replacement water heater (old one was about 10 years old). They also did our windows about three years ago. Also an excellent job.

Almost flawlessly experience

I had to replace my older Bryant heat pump with a new Bryant heat pump/furnace. Apparently the condenser was obsolete. Two years ago, the thermostat had to be replaced and we spent $700 to purchase and install a Bryant Connex thermostat which we liked When we got the quote for the new heat pump/furnace from Washington Energy, we were told we could use the Bryant thermostat we had purchased earlier with the new installation (this was reference on the quote). Apparently, the thermostat was not compatible, and the technicians installed a less expensive Honeywell small screen model. It must have been known prior to installation that there was a problem. I was not notified in advance. My feeling is that Washington Energy should have installed a Bryant large screen thermostat similar to the one they thought would be compatible with the new equipment. I feel that Washington Energy could have comped the difference of the thermostat based up the high price of the Bryant heat pump and furnace they installed That is my only complaint. The installation, vent check, and permit process was professional and thorough. Everyone was efficient, on time and helpful.

Heat pump and furnace install experience

It was a 2\-day install. The installers came unprepared and did not bring some of the material like pipes to complete the work for the 1st day and they left early by 2.30PM. They started at 10AM approximately essentially working for about 4 hours. The next day they had to rush and finish the job to compensate for the 1st day. As a result they stayed late till 8pm thus rushing the customer with the filling out the paperwork, providing them walkthough and answering questions. They were fatigued, lacked energy by end of day and this affected how they did the closing with the customer (me) \- it was not a good experience and I didnt want to hold them back with questions etc. The thermostat installer did a shoddy job and did not install the WIFI adapter and I identified their miss and called them in the next day to fix it. Also they left no proper documentation/manual for the thermostat. The thermostat they provided is a cheap kind and technologically inferior to the one I had before was a much better quality WIFI thermostat. Now I am concerned about the longevity of the furnace and heat pump. The sales proposal was ambiguous \- it did not list that a Carrier equivalent model for heatpump will be installed and also it did not mention that a wired adapter will be used for the thermostat. Usage of wired adapter makes calling a WIFI duplictuous. Also the post\-sales support from the salesperson was frustrating and quite tense.

The half of a heat pump that was installed works great. The Air Handler was installed in November although we ordered it in mid\-September and were told it would be approx 6\-8 weeks for the entire unit and install. The problem is the heat pump has not yet been installed. I have called several times since the Air Handler was installed, only to have Washington Energy and they give me the run around about why they cannot get the heat pump, siting supply chain issues on the Bryant preferred 226ana. I am starting to regret using Washington Energy. I am still committed to the Bryant system I just wish they would have been up front when they sold the system and then we would have possibly gone with another provider. I was waiting to register the unit until the install was complete, since this has not yet happened, I am registering only the Air Handler.

The crews that came out to bid and install the unit were well trained and did a very good job. The install crews were provided with inaccurate, insufficient or plain wrong information. That accurately describes the letter left for me about what steps were next specifically with regard to the permit process; two adjacent paragraphs give conflicting advice and apparently one of them is supposed to be highlighted on the document I received, if they can figure out how to highlight the right one they can just as easily figure out how to delete the one not needed.

I awoke one week after I got my new furnace, to feel that I had no heat in my house. It was the Sunday after Christmas and I called Washington Energy (company that installed the furnace) and didn't hear back from them until the next morning. It would have been nice to hear from them the day that I was calling. They did come the next morning and had to replace the inducer assembly (bad factory part, I was told). Quickest service installation EVER

Nick and Josh were absolutely fantastic. My furnace broke on the coldest weekend we have had so far. All the other companies estimated a week to come look and diagnose the problem. Their estimator, J.J. was really great, no up\-selling, just honest opinion of what would meet our needs the most. Washington Energy installers did a great job of replacing/installing a new gas furnace. They also installed an AC unit outdoors. The weather has been too warm to see how the furnace operates. Fall weather will determine that outcome. The AC unit has been a lifesaver for the few hot days we have had so far and more to come. It cools the house immediately. This means we don't have to leave our home to try to find a cooler place. Even harder to do with sheltering\-in\-place. A Challenging Installation

We had a challenging installation to say the least. We had very little room where our furnace is located, to install the cooling coil. We ended going to a 3 ton condenser rather than the 4 ton which because it had a smaller coil. We also replaced our furnace and the new one was a bit smaller than the old one. The good news was that the electrical was rather easy since we used the hook up where the hot tub used to be. There was also another challenge getting the cold air hose through the house to the garage where the furnace and return ducts were located. WES was great!! They got everything installed and working. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up the site each day when they were done. We were a returning customer of Washington Energy Services \- they had previously installed a furnace and hot water tank for us.

Communication from the install team could have been better. Water heater had to be revised due to height restrictions and the Bryant case for the furnace was damaged in transit and had to be replaced with a Carrier outer shell. No problems with the units, It's just that I was not made aware of the situation until i raised the questions with customer service. Also the air filter installed is five inches and should be a four according to your technicians. This has been noted one at least 3 occasions, no replacement filter as of today.

summary of my experience

Looked for a factory approved bryant dealer to add AC on to my existing gas furnance. I chose Washington Energy Services after talking to their sales person . I entered a contract with them after he assured me that what made them different and better was they used their own employees to do the work and did not use subcontractors. I signed a contract with them because of that reassurance. After two reschedules they offered me a third reschedule for sooner installation. However to move up the install date I had to agree to another co, doing the job. That was "Bob's heating and air conditioning". not Washington Energy Services. They assured me Washington E Services would be on the scene to oversee everything. I reluctantly agreed but when Bob's showed up and started work installing the upgrade no Washington ES was present nor did any of their staff show up for at least an hour during which time Bob's was doing the installation with no supervision from Washington ES as promised. Even that staff from Wa ES left after a few minutes. So I as the purchaser now had a second contractor doing the job that I had no contract with as the original contract called for Wa ES to be the installer contractor., NOT Bob's Heating and AC. They both assured me that this was OK because the owner of Bob's was the brother of the owner of Washington ES. In fact WA ES is a corporation not an individual owned proprietorship. Next problem was the staff person assigned to oversee the permits and inspection process . She obtained the permit for mechanical or plumbing work. She did not obtain a permit for electrical work as required. After the mechanical and plumbing and electrical had been completed I called her and asked "where is the permit for the electrical work that has to be inspected ?" She said "Is there electrical work ?" After my advising there was and it had already been completed by WA ES's electrician she said "Oh \- I'll call and get the electrical permit and email it to you" So on the day after the electrical had been completed there was no permit and no request for an inspection yet and the system was already operating and approved by the WA ES staff who stopped by to see how the job was going. So this is a violation of the WA state L and I rules for electrical inspections before or within one hour of start up of the installation. So there was no knowledge nor coordination by WA ES with the electrical inspection requirements prior to start up of the system. I even called WA L and I to request the electrical inspection but was told only the contractor could request the inspection. I called WA ES at 4:10PM Friday August 24th to request they request the electrical inspection and was told the person was gone for the day and would not be back until monday the 27th at the soonest. So she was assigned to oversee the project and did not know what it entailed. Very frustrating and unsettling. !!

Coolant leak

This is the third time that Washington Energy Services came out to the house to service my air conditioner. The first time was to evaluate my air conditioner problem which was a coolant leak; then Russ replaced the coolant and added a dye to find where the leak was. A month later, Russ came back to find the source of the leak which was the evaporator coils. He ordered the part and installed it four weeks later. Very impressed with his attention to detail.

Had to have electrician come out and re\-do some of the work done and add an outlet at the heating unit. overall, I would recommend WES to other people. Crews were nice and professional, but some of the work could have been done better the first time. Also, sales reps need to be clear on bids and not have multiple contracts signed because of their mistakes. this is NOT good business.

Furnace Installation Redo

The furnace was installed much earlier than expected as we were told another job had been just cancelled giving us the opportunity to get ours installed a couple weeks earlier. As the 50 year old furnace was not working (middle of January in the Northwest) we were very happy to have Washington Energy Services (WES) come sooner. The installation went as expected being installed in a day however, when it came time to re\-install the furnace room bi\-fold door it was discovered that the door interfered with the furnace front housing (could not reinstall the door). A WES foreman came out within an hour to assess the situation and decided the furnace would need to be fully removed and repositioned. A new crew came out the next day and re\-did all the ducting to reposition the furnace properly. No extra charge to the home owner. The quality of the installation looks even better than the initial installation the day before. Our new Bryant 315 Furnace (80% 2\-Stage) has works very nicely so far. We program the thermostat (new Honeywell Prestige IAQ) to lower the temperature at night time since we like the cooler temperatures when sleeping. However, in the morning, the furnace comes on as much as two hours before the scheduled time programmed into the thermostat. The two hour house warm up time seems excessive given it only needs to warm up by 5 \- 6 degrees. The sound generated from the new furnace doesn't seem any quieter than the old furnace but it is still at an acceptable level. We are very happy with WES and will go back for future needs. I would recommend WES to others.

Courteous, accommodating installers

Great experience from start to finish. When I was just getting quotes, I found the consultant, Rick, from Washington Energy Services (WES) knowledgeable and helpful. I asked many questions during the consultation and via email afterward. He was always quick to respond and forthcoming with information. I waited months to move forward and re\-initiating contact and picking up where we left off seemed effortless. I pressed Rick on the furnace sizing and his explanation was convincing and satisfactory. He even gave me a bigger discount to beat a lower bid, then, \*after already having my business shored up\*, he got me advance access to an upcoming special that lowered the price another couple hundred dollars. Who does that these days?!?! Now for the install. I was pretty hands on for the install. I'll admit I was a little micro\-managing, but I was trying to help make decisions about how to run the exhaust pipe and lineset so I didn't have to look at them for the next 20 years. Aaron, the lead installer on our job, never made me seem like I was in the way. He answered every question, explained the technical details, and left me feeling confident in what he was doing. Everything was done according to my preferences and requests. While installing, Aaron found a bent return air vent that would cause the furnace to suck in some air from the garage (you know, where there's car exhaust). It had probably been there for over a decade and there was no way I was going to see it. But he didn't cut corners to ignore it and save time. He wanted the new system to deliver the best performance. He added "swoops" (curved pieces of metal) in the base and the supply ducting to improve rate of air flow. Little things like this are indicative of a general commitment to excellence and optimal performance. The job needed to spill over into a second day (just running the linesets), but the crew did a thorough clean\-up at the end of each day. They arrived on time and worked diligently. They were respectful, professional and kind. A consultant can tell you about all the other perks of choosing WES. We don't regret it. If your experience is anything like ours, I don't think you will either. The new equipment is working out well. I can't speak for the performance of the AC unit because it's winter, but the outdoor unit was quieter than I expected during our test. The furnace is about half the output of our previous furnace, but it is easily outperforming it. The house heats faster, more evenly, and feels warmer as a result. 2\-stage with variable speed fan and high efficiency is a big step up from the previous unit, which short\-cycled a lot and consumed a lot of gas ($) to not adequately heat the home. The new unit is also a LOT quieter (both the sound of air rushing through the system and the burners firing).

Very stupid survey. How can I know to recommend the product when I have had it for 3 days and can't use it because it didn't pass inspection? Bryant heat pump

My husband and I contracted Washington Energy Services to install a Bryant heat pump. WES was initially extremely efficient and punctual, as were all of the technicians involved with installation and electrical services. All went well until the switch was flipped \- the unit did not work. A technician was promptly (within 24 hours) sent to our home and identified the problem: a frozen valve that was not allowing release of the coolant. He said the correction would be relatively quick: a new valve would be ordered and take only a few hours to install. He thought the part would arrive quickly, possibly the same day it is ordered. When we called WES and ordered the part, they said it take 4\-5 days to get it and they'd have to 'work us into their schedule'. It could be 2\-3 weeks before we have a fully functioning unit. Meanwhile, we've invested several thousand dollars into a heating \& cooling unit that provides us no benefit whatsoever as our area enters another summer heat wave. WES has disappointed us by not promptly correcting this situation. We have yet to gauge our long term satisfaction of the Bryant heat pump, but are seriously disappointed by the fact that it is not functioning coming out of the box.

Can not give enough praise to Jason, who did the proposal. He told us what to expect and when to expect it. The install of the heat pump went without a hitch. Ok, the electrician did not show up, but that was to be expected. The two installers were courteous and efficient. On their way out, they said they set the thermostat at 74 F, but it probably would be too cold. The outside temp was in the 80's, and sure enough, just after a few minutes, my wife had a blanket over her in the each chair. I quickly set it at 75F, and left it there.

Replacement of existing Bryant Furnace & A/C

Existing furnace and air conditioner was over 18 years of age. The A/C motor eventually died and the furnace was experiencing possible issues. Washington Energy Services installed our new Bryant furnace. We already notice a difference. Now, we had an original\-to\-home furnace, from 1991; it was very much at end\-of\-life. We wanted to upgrade to something energy efficient (we went with 96% efficiency), and we got something that is totally awesome so far. We are glad that WES installed so well, and they were very knowledgeable about the product and also did all the necessary construction to get exhaust pipes set up, etc. We hope to keep up with all the inspections so as to keep up to date with the warranty going forward. They even came pack 3 days later to fix some of the piping insulation that had come loose from the initial install; they came back to do those touch\-ups, and everything looks great and has held up since. So far, so good. We are very happy with our new furnace.

Had heat pump installed by Washington Energy Services. Done in a few hours, very knowledgeable technicians/electrician and they explained everything thoroughly and answered my questions in detail. Minimal disruption and product was able to be used right away and has been very effective in cooling down the home. I needed the right product for my home and a unit with a capacity to cool the entire upper level and it works great \- no more uncomfortable days or sleepless nights. Sometimes I wish the fan in it had a little higher speed but the unit is very effective. I expect the same when using it for heating and experiencing the efficiency of this unit over the base board type heating units I was previously using.
