Based on website information, long\-standing, four generational, company, and the reviews I read, I decided to call Birchfield for an annual furnace service check\-up. Furnace was operating fine. Technician was thorough and had me observe what his camera showed: crack in heating exchanger. Getting the technician's explanation of what this means, and having trace carbon monoxide via vent, I knew the recommendation for replacement of my 18 yr old furnace was best. Both the tech and office admin person were totally knowledgeable about what would work best with my AC system, and prompt in scheduling. Work was completed in less than 1 week.
