The installer failed to remove a tab in the condenser which caused the furnace to shut down a few hours after it was installed. They weren't able to get someone out to look at it for a couple of days. Initial confusion caused by salesman
The salesman who sold me the 90% Bryant furnace neglected to mention that installation involves putting a hole in the roof, even though I obviously live in an HOA where such a measure would require a long approval process and might not be approved. Only when the advance\-man for the crew arrived and began discussing the installation with me did I realize that things needed to be halted. The salesman quickly was put on the phone, and he asked about getting "expedited approval" from the HOA, apparently unaware of how HOAs work! Quickly, we had to switch to a new Bryant 80% model, and a new contract was emailed to me. This was disappointing, although the new 80%er is much better than my old one.

So Far; So Good - High Hopes for the Future
I contacted One Hour Heating \& Air Conditioning for service on my existing HVAC system because I was dissatisfied with the number of times I'd had to obtain service on the system during the time that I've owned my home. Since I'd already expended nearly $4K on the existing system, with the installing dealer's service department, I paid particular attention to the One Hour Technician's justification for replacement rather than another costly repair. The Technician scheduled a same day appointment with a One Hour Sales Representative who offered several replacement opportunities using a "brand name" (Bryant) system for which I'd heard good reviews. The price for the system configuration that I selected was competitive and an appointment for installation of the new system was scheduled for the following day. The installation personnel arrived on schedule and completed their work in about six hours. At this point, I'm hopeful that my previous (long\-term) issues with repeated AC failures has been resolved.

One Hour HVAC - Heat pump & Air handler installation
The installation team dutifully and professionally installed our new heat pump and air handler. The air handler installation was in the attic through a small access point in a closet of our 100\-year\-old home. They laid tarps and carefully removed equipment. One hour has been our service provider for 23 years and overall we have been happy with them.
Unfortunately, this is the third furnace purchase with them. Our first (Trane XV90) lasted 11 years. In 2015 they replaced that unit with a Bryant 926TA60100. A reoccurring issue we had with this unit that had One Hour to our home numerous times is a strong burning smell coming from the vents. Upon inspection after inspection all checked out okay. Last week when it kept going into lock out we had One Hour out again and I was shocked to hear from a new salesman who spent years as a technician that the furnace we were sold in 2015, a 100 K BTU, was too big for our house and the burning odor likely resulted from the furnace not being able to dissipate the heat. Needing to replace that furnace after only 8 years did not sit well with me or One Hour who were apologetic and tried to help w/ some discounts. The install of the new unit (80 K BTU) went very well and hopefully it will have a normal, or better than normal, life expectancy.
