Great Experience - easy and fast
We had attempted to get quotes with several other heating and Air companies. They either wanted to upsell or provided a quote not based on what we discussed. This was after waiting several weeks after initial visits to receive the quotes. We knew our AC unit was on the way out. Family Comfort came in, reviewed the issue and current system and provided 2 options that would fit into our existing system (heating portion had already been replaced several years earlier). We decided on the option and 2 days later we have a cool home due to a high efficiency AC unit. The crew was very nice, professional, hardworking and efficient. We came across Family Comfort Heating \& Cooling on the Bryant website and were very encouraged by their reviews. I looked them up on Yelp as well, and WOW! I have never seen so many 5 star reviews. We got a quote from them, which I thought was totally fair, and by the end of the next week, our house had a brand new split mini system! We could not be happier, and I have told everyone who'd listed since then about Family Comfort Heating \& Cooling. We live in a flat roof, cinder block, mid\-century modern home, and I was very nervous how it would end up looking, with all the line\-sets, etc. They made it look better than I could have even imagined or hoped for... truly magnificent work! Family Comfort Heating \& Cooling is by far the best HVAC company I have ever worked with. I called several other air conditioning companies in the Sacramento area and many never showed up. After being very frustrated, I found Family Comfort on Yelp and I decided to give them a call. They were INCREDIBLE! I really wish I would have called them first. Here is why I gave Family Comfort Heating \& Cooling all 5 Stars: 1. They showed up early in nice, clean trucks, for the quote and for the install. 2. I met with the owner and he was very honest and provided me with a fair price. It was much less than the other large companies that have inflated pricing. 3. Family Comfort Heating and Cooling
We interviewed seven vendors, and received quotes from six. Three of the six passed the "smell" test; of the three contenders, we selected Family Comfort because the solutions recommended fixed three related problems: 1. House was converted from a one\-zone environment to a two\-zone environment, which will save energy and expense because the downstairs is mostly buried into the hillside whereas the upstairs has soaring ceilings and large picture windows. So two very different areas in terms of heating / cooling needs. 2. Installation of a humidistat fan in the crawlspace . . . as we were seriously troubled by water incursion during last winter's heavy rainfall 3. Timely installation of the new unit \- our wait time from signing the bid to initiation of work was less than a week. We really appreciated that, as our old unit had died.

There is not enough space for me to really describe the type of service we received from Tim and his son's. We have been battling with issues with a unit that was put in by Alley for 11 years. Knew what basically the problem was, but never was fixed. The unit that we had installed by Alley was never installed the way the one that we had installed by Family Comfort Heating and Cooling. GOOD INSTALLATION, BUT NOT GREAT WITH DETAILS
Had a 16 Seer 2 stage heat/cool package unit installed to replace nonworking unit. Very pleased with unit. Overall,install was good, finished a little early. However, it was annoying that details were overlooked. Access to unit is through master closet. Had put closet back together and had to have guys come out again and take closet apart because they forgot to turn switch back on for whole house fan. Also, they did not adjust blower setting after inspector came, so vents blew like a blow dryer until we asked them to come out again to set. Only spent a few minutes going over new thermostat, and had to have that readjusted later, too. Also, unit did not pass inspection first time because a platform had to be built on the roof for maintenance. So, had to have another inspection. The guys were prompt about dealing with issues and solving the problems. Also, very willing to work with our budget and specifications.
