2007 Indy Racing League IndyCar Series Sponsorship with Andretti Green Racing

INDIANAPOLIS — The longest non-automotive sponsor of the Indianapolis 500, Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems, is proud to announce its 2007 Indy Racing League (IRL) IndyCar Series sponsorship of Andretti Green Racing and driver, Tony Kanaan. Kanaan, whose love of racing began to flourish after watching his first go kart race as a child in Brazil, is entering his fifth year of involvement with Andretti Green Racing (AGR) in the 2007 season.

It is no wonder that AGR, the winningest team in the Indy Racing League, includes Kanaan, a focused and successful driver. Throughout his career, he has earned six victories, six pole positions, including the 89th running of the Indianapolis 500, and scored 43 top-10 finishes. In 2004, he won the IndyCar Series championship and was runner-up in 2005. This past season, Kanaan ended with three podium finishes including a win at Milwaukee.

Department of Energy statistics report that by upgrading to a furnace with a minimum 95 Annual Fuel Utilization Energy (AFUE) rating, homeowners can cut heating bills by an average of 15 percent per season. The Bryant Evolution Plus 90i boasts a record setting 96.6 AFUE rating, ensuring consumers that, in addition to financial savings, the maximum amount of heat is going into their home.

"We are excited and proud to sponsor Tony Kanaan. He's proven to be a true competitor, and he's backed by one of the strongest teams in the IndyCar Series," said Kevin Dudash, Bryant brand manager. "It's a great opportunity to give visibility to the Bryant brand with a driver and team who truly demonstrate the 'Whatever It Takes' attitude of Bryant dealers across the country."

Kanaan is pleased with the pairing as well. "I'm very excited about our new partnership with everyone at Bryant," said Kanaan. "Bryant has a great IndyCar racing heritage and we will certainly do 'Whatever It Takes' to make a run at another championship and an Indy 500 win in 2007."

Andretti Green Racing was founded by Michael Andretti, Kim Green and Kevin Savoree in December 2002. Since then AGR has met with great success, collecting 23 IndyCar Series victories, and winning both the 2004 and 2005 IndyCar Series championship. In 2005, AGR competed in and won "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing," the Indy 500. This past year, AGR had eight podium finishes including two wins.

Bryant is looking forward to its 42nd year of involvement at the Indianapolis 500 with this new sponsorship. The heating and cooling company traces its racing roots back to the 1958 race, when Indianapolis-based Bryant dealer, Eddie Johnson, became the company's first Indy 500 qualifier. Since then, Bryant has been a staple at the race for the checkered flag at the Brickyard and its logo has been featured on 50 cars. In 1996, Bryant upped its involvement in racing when it became a full-time sponsor of the IndyCar Series. Bryant looks forward to the 2007 season and doing 'Whatever It Takes' to cheer on Kanaan.
