Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems Pledges Support for Hurricane Katrina Victims

INDIANAPOLISS, IN – (April 4, 2006) – Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems recently announced that it will provide assistance for Hurricane Katrina victims through several key initiatives. "Whatever It Takes is not simply a tag line that our dealers deliver to all of our customers," said David Meyers, Vice President of Sales. "It is a commitment that we carry to our communities when our neighbors need our assistance."

Bryant has partnered with the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity and its dealers in the Greater New Orleans community to deliver heating and cooling systems to predetermined residential rebuilding projects that will take place in 2006. "Our dealerships in New Orleans look forward to donating and installing a number of Bryant’s Hybrid Heat™ systems to those affected by Hurricane Katrina," said Bryant Brand Manager Kevin Dudash.

Bryant’s Hybrid Heat system allows users to make their homes’ air temperature economically comfortable by utilizing either electric power or natural gas. This flexibility maximizes energy efficiency for homeowners because each fuel source is used when it is most cost-effective. In addition to producing energy-saving heating during cooler weather conditions, the Hybrid Heat System also provides efficient air conditioning in the warmer months.

"We are very excited to receive Bryant’s generous donation of these Hybrid Heat systems for several of our rebuilding efforts," said Greg Graves, Habitat for Humanity International Manager in New Orleans. "Energy efficiency is an increasingly important consideration in our homes, and these units are a welcomed addition to many upcoming projects in the area."

In addition to direct product donations and significant financial contributions made by its corporate parent, Bryant also has arranged a special Hurricane Relief Package to provide assistance for its dealers who are rebuilding their businesses, which provide important home comfort services to the New Orleans area. Also, regional Bryant distributors from as far away as the Pacific Northwest ? such as Hadco Supply, which raised more than $14,000 for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund ? have joined Bryant’s effort to help the people of New Orleans rebuild their communities.
